Hi, friends-- The Exhibit Committee has been working (some might say feverishly!) to prepare for the Vermont debut of "Made in Palestine," the first exhibition of contemporary Palestinian art to tour the U.S. The exhibit will be on display at the T. W. Wood Gallery in Montpelier from October 18 through November 20. (For more about the exhibit, including some of its arresting images, please visit the vtjp Web site at <www.vtjp.org>.)
We are also setting up a speakers' series on "Palestine: Image and Reality," which will include a number of well-known scholars and at least one of the artists from the exhibition. More information will be posted on this shortly. In the meantime, please save the following dates: Thursday, October 20 (evening), Saturday, October 22 (afternoon), and Wednesday evenings between October 28 and November 16! We also need your help so that we can publicize this exhibit and speakers' series as widely as we can. It would be very helpful if you would take a few moments to think of friends or colleagues who would be interested in attending the exhibit and talks. You can send me their names and addresses (please give me full mailing addresses) so that we can create a master list. We will also be sending out information by email, so we'd appreciate information about email distribution lists that you think we should also include. Finally, October will soon be here so speed is of the essence! With many thanks for your help, Kris ------------------------ Yahoo! Groups Sponsor --------------------~--> Fair play?
