FORM OF JUSTICE
Ever since the Israeli government voted yes for the pullout from Gaza Strip
the United States media became too busy reporting every nitty and gritty about
the settlers' anger for being asked to leave.
The message became very clear that the settlers need to gather up every shred of sympathy from around the world. No one was smart enough to stop and think for a minute to realize that those settlements were built on lands that originally were taken over by the power of arms, they were never obtained by any legal form of acquisition like a normal purchase or an exchange for property somewhere else. The Israeli government came to find out that one step forward toward reaching peace is to give the land to the original owners; the people who lived there for the past 10, 20 or 30 years had borrowed this land for enough time, and now it's time things should go back to where they belong. I would like for the media to stop hashing news about the settlers' agony and try to see the issue from the point of the Palestinian people whose land was taken away a few years back, and now they are taking back what was taken away from them. Isn't it a form of justice to give someone something that was taken away from him? Did anyone pay these people rent on the property they were deprived of for a number of years?
