I spoke with Matus and verified that he is willing to become a vpp committer. Matus has made significant contributions to VPP [1], at a level comparable to that of existing committers. He is also one of the most active members of our community [2], both in code contributions and reviews. Over many years, he has demonstrated extensive expertise across a broad range of host-stack components, including HTTP, QUIC, TLS, TCP, UDP, and the session layer. His contributions have also covered SNAT, NAT44, NAT64, CGN, IPsec, and syslog. Matus’s VPP commit history is available at [3] and review history [4]. I am casting my vote in favor of Matus (+1). Voting will close when all committers have voted or at 6:00 p.m. PST on November 12, 2026, whichever comes first.
