I received the following feedback from LFN on this case:

When Groups.io rewrites the From line for emails, they include a
Reply-To header with the correct email address. That should be
interpreted by the email client and that address should be used for replies.
If it's still not happening, please have the individuals experiencing
the issue contact [email protected], as we'll want to know the email
client they are using and an example of the headers of one of the
messages they're replying to.

I've noticed in the ongoing thread (about policer), that envelope
sender rewriting by lists.fd.io is newly failing. The mailinglist is
rewriting [email protected] correctly into
[email protected], which satisfies DKIM/SRS, but it is not
expanding these rewritten envelopes on the way back, yielding bounces:
