All of our CI/CD & CSIT infrastructure are migrating to Ubuntu 22.04 for the upcoming VPP 22.10 release. I anticipate that support for Ubuntu 20.04 will be deprecated around VPP 23.06 timeframe. You can always look back in the git history of .../vpp/Makefile for when Ubuntu 18.04 was deprecated from the 'install-deps' target but there is no guarantee that it will still work.
