Hi Devs, I am trying to compile VPP 20.05 on centos 8.2 machine. Using the following steps for compilation:
make wipe-release make install-dep make install-ext-deps make build-release make pkg-rpm I am getting the following error while creating rpm package from *make pkg-rpm* command: make[2]: Leaving directory '/opt/vpp/build-root/rpmbuild/vpp-20.05.1/build-root' + CFLAGS='-O2 -g -pipe -Wall -Werror=format-security -Wp,-D_FORTIFY_SOURCE=2 -Wp,-D_GLIBCXX_ASSERTIONS -fexceptions -fstack-protector-strong -grecord-gcc-switches -specs=/usr/lib/rpm/redhat/redhat-hardened-cc1 -specs=/usr/lib/rpm/redhat/redhat-annobin-cc1 -m64 -mtune=generic -fasynchronous-unwind-tables -fstack-clash-protection -fcf-protection' + LDFLAGS='-Wl,-z,relro -Wl,-z,now -specs=/usr/lib/rpm/redhat/redhat-hardened-ld' + /usr/bin/python2 setup.py build '--executable=/usr/bin/python2 -s' /usr/bin/python2: can't open file 'setup.py': [Errno 2] No such file or directory error: Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.QsPsls (%build) RPM build errors: Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.QsPsls (%build) make[1]: *** [Makefile:57: RPM] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory '/opt/vpp/extras/rpm' make: *** [Makefile:625: pkg-rpm] Error 2 We were compiling earlier also following the same steps , but didn't got the error then.
