Can’t do much without a backtrace. Also, not entirely sure how vcl got a reply
if vpp crashed.
Session layer is the main component of the host stack that keeps track of
external apps and facilitates the exchange of data and notifications between
apps (like vcl) and transports. So yes, it is important.
