Certainly in VPP 17.01 jumbo frames were not handled properly by VPP and in our application we had to reset the MTU in VPP to be 1500 via something like:

Thus the question would be if it is reasonable to set default MTU size to 9000 for VPP and what kind of problem is it causing that would be fixed by changing it to 1500.
