Hi Dave, I totally agree with you that my email was an over-simplification of a bigger issue for sure.
What we are trying to see is: can a single thread handle both control plane and data plane activities for a particular application object ( ex: a flow object) , so that, a need of lock can be avoided. ( Making sure that control plane messages and data plane packets landing on the same thread is a different issue.) -- Thanks & Regards, Murthy
