- Seems that the tutorials that I found are not very updated/detailed e.g.

Is there more updated/detailed doc for a customized plugin development ?
I had a go at fixing this in the past, but it broke again.

The easiest way I found to get this going, was to move the sample_plugin
into the plugins directory and add it it to Makefile.am. It's living in
the examples directory it appears to be broken more often than not.
