Hello, We see that IPv6 Neighbor solicitation messages sent by VPP are having Ethernet Destination MAC address as FF:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF - Broadcast MAC.
Aren't IPv6 Neighbor solicitation messages supposed to have destination MAC as - 33:33:FF:<Last 3 bytes of IPv6 address>? VPP sent NS messages: 14:23:13.721695 88:a2:5e:b5:37:8d (oui Unknown) > Broadcast, ethertype IPv6 (0x86dd), length 86: 1::1 > ff02::1:ff00:3: ICMP6, neighbor solicitation, who has 1::3, length 32 Linux sent NS messages: 14:36:00.731147 d2:bc:70:75:5e:f2 (oui Unknown) > 33:33:ff:00:00:01 (oui Unknown), ethertype IPv6 (0x86dd), length 86: 1::2 > ff02::1:ff00:1: ICMP6, neighbor solicitation, who has 1::1, length 32 -- Regards, Akshaya N
