All, I followed the instruction in https://wiki.fd.io/view/VPP/Build,_install,_and_test_images#Build_A_VPP_Package to build on a ubuntu 16.04.
git clone https://gerrit.fd.io/r/vpp cd vpp git checkout v17.04 make dpdk-install-dev make install-dep make build make pkg-deb Following are the packages generated. vpp_17.04-release_amd64.deb vpp-api-java_17.04-release_amd64.deb vpp-api-lua_17.04-release_amd64.deb vpp-api-python_17.04-release_amd64.deb vpp-dbg_17.04-release_amd64.deb vpp-dev_17.04-release_amd64.deb vpp-lib_17.04-release_amd64.deb vpp-plugins_17.04-release_amd64.deb This does not generate package vpp-dpdk-dkms; The web page above expects this package.
