I can successfully build DPDK... downloaded 16.11 from dpdk.org and built it
with no issues on my thunderx machine...
Also, what I tried to point out earlier is:
1) PLATFORM=vpp (is accepted by the build system)
2) PLATFORM=vpp_lite (is accepted by the buid system)
3) PLATFORM=arm32 (is accepted by the build system)
4) PLATFORM = thunder (is unrecognised by the build system as a valid platform)
