Frank, I encourage you, like Stewart, to use a wordpress.com blog to write about the topic in 'installments' (sub chapters, or topical aspects on a sub-chapter topic. It's a great format, and if you write regularly, the search engines will identify that regular behaviour and will increase the ranking to your site. If you link to your amazon book, it can then increase traffic.
This is part of "SEO" (search engine optimization) and is how you keep getting exposure to new people outside your normal 'circles'. Also, I encourage you to continue to work toward a published article in a peer-reviewed journal. I think many young investigators have an increased skepticism from BS-peddlers, and seeing someone participating in the peer-review process reinforces that, even as an underdog, you're part of the good road.
