The system has been formally measured at 870C (max) 820C (average) --- which doesn't mean that it hasn't reached 1200C in experimental runs. ( Possible Rossi-speak translation error : It might also be that Rossi is confusing C and K -- 1200K is 973C, close to the reported results. )
