I am not sure that they require a big name researcher at the helm in order to make good products. I have seen that there are generally many highly qualified but not recognized individuals residing within companies. The engineering problems are different than the scientific ones in many cases and DGT is in need of engineering at this time.
The physicists will eventually figure out the mechanisms that are responsible for the success of the Ni-H reaction, but that might take a long time. The engineers can start with what is currently demonstrated and make quick needed improvements. DGT is proceeding well according to the information available at this time. Will a new name responsible for all the claimed improvements arise or will they remain just an engineering house tweaking the discoveries of others? From: Jouni Valkonen [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Thursday, February 16, 2012 8:53 AM To: [email protected] Subject: EXTERNAL: Re: [Vo]:Defkalion GT willing to accept Dick Smith's offer + Official tests info Good to hear that Dick Smith offered the prize and Defkalion accepted. Too bad that he did not want to extend it into general cold fusion X-Prize, because cold fusion field would deserve such prize. But perhaps Dick was not for charity thing, but he genuinely thought that Defkalion and Rossi are scammers! I was myself also somewhat surprised Defkalion's strong initiative for going public soon. Sterling has promoted Defkalion to number one in his free energy technology list: http://peswiki.com/index.php/Top_5_Exotic_Free_Energy_Technologies South African miracle was in second place and other smaller scale solid stated generator was third. Then there was that PlasmERG that would transform Earth civilization immediately into type 1.0 civilization in Kardashev scale and of course this is my favorite free energy technology. As this is way too good to be true, it is probably not true. :'( And then there is also Rossi's ecat, what is demoted into fifth place. Not that there is anything particularly wrong with ecat, but it is just old fashioned and low efficiency technology compared to all the above. Also there are no prospects for development in upcoming months. I think that this is worthy of mentioning, because this is the most authoritative free energy technology rating list in the Internet. –Jouni On 16 February 2012 14:27, Akira Shirakawa <[email protected]> wrote: Hello group, It appears that unlike Andrea Rossi, Defkalion GT doesn't have any particular problem accepting Dick Smith's 1 million USD offer upon successful testing of their technology. This proposal originated from ecatnews.com where Dick Smith himself wrote a few comments in the latest blogposts. His identity on this blog has apparently been confirmed by phone and email by some resident users. http://ecatnews.com/?p=2045 Here's their message from the thread created on their corporate forum to let them know about Smith's potential proposal: http://www.defkalion-energy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1113 So far we have not officially received (through a telephone, letter, fax or e-mail) any such offer published in different sites. If the offer and the "donor" are real, we will accept the challenge, performing a test under the protocol we have announced in our last Press Release (viewtopic.php?f=4&t=926&start=210). In case this is a real proposal, we will accept an official letter and a proof of donated funds from a prime bank before any such testing. Also note that our first independent official tests are starting on 24th of February 2012. No "donations" or any money where required or offered for these independent tests. DGT It appears, by the way, that their independent official tests will start on February 24th. Hopefully we will have more news about them and their testing protocols soon. Cheers, S.A.
