CMNS Friends, Our friend and colleague Scott Chubb has been battling cancer for two years now. A tumor was successfully shrunken by radiation and chemo in early 2010, but recurred later in the year. Scott underwent surgery to have the tumor removed in early December. Since that time, he has essentially been bedridden and has developed other medical problems. He has also not been able to speak. Scott was able to do some work (editing for IE, writing papers for conferences and an article for IE) when he returned home. He went into the hospital again a few weeks ago, with bleeding issues. He developed pneumonia and it was discovered that he has a tumor on his spine and cancerous lesions on his lungs. Scott is now in hospice care and may not have much time left. He is on morphine for pain, but has some lucidity. His loving wife Anne Pond has asked that his friends and colleagues email her personal notes for Scott if they wish. Her email is: [email protected] I hope that many of you will send greetings to Scott. He has worked so tirelessly for this field. I personally appreciate that he stepped up to be a technical editor for Infinite Energy after Gene's death; without the willingness of he and the other editors to work on a volunteer basis to help me maintain Infinite Energy, it would not have been possible to carry on Gene's legacy. I know that this comes as a great shock to many of you. Things have moved along much faster than anticipated with Scott's condition and before now he did not want to burden people with his struggles. You may also send mail to Scott/the family at: 9822 Pebble Weigh Court Burke, VA 22015-3378 Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Thank you, Christy Frazier Managing Editor Infinite Energy Magazine
