Jones,
It is easy to agree with your hypothesis since you swing such a wide net and using pycno as a placeholder works fine for me but when you mention "after a population of pycno accumulates" I have to point out this accumulation may not be a "material" but rather heat energy and time dilation. I remain open to the source of predominant heating being from nuclear reactions or from ash less chemistry where changes in Casimir energy constantly breaks the H2 apart as it moves through the changing cavity geometry pushed along by gas law. The cavity provides time dilation increasing both the probability of a nuclear reaction and heat from catalytic reactions ash or ashless. The magnitude of the nuclear reaction could be mimicked by the endless/runaway potential of ashless chemistry . Regards Fran *In step two, after a population of pycno has accumulated, the stage is set so that there can now be ‘real’ nuclear reactions of some kind, at increased probability - but the nuclear reaction may or may not need an additional Casimir cavity effect. If we look at it as two steps, then we can now look for nuclear reactions that can happen with very little external input. In Arata’s case there is essentially no power added after heat triggering. This means that we need to look for, and evaluate, nuclear decay reactions first since they would seemingly be more likely without added power.
