I am simply calling Jed out on his non-sense charge about the abuse of statistics. I don't know enough to judge Krivit's point.

You don't know enough to judge Krivit's point, but you know enough to criticize Jed on pointing out an obvious example of deceptive use of statistical data in making that point, a very old trick? A trick that can make an insignificant change look significant!

I asked if you would look and see if you could understand it, you seem to think that people should have fixed positions based on what they "know." I.e., that the criticism of Krivit here depends on having comprehensive knowledge of the field. It doesn't. I've found what I've found out about Krivit by reading his material and seeing how it matches the evidence he provides. It's true that I do comment additionally about aspects of it, based on other knowledge I've gained over the last year (plus an undergraduate background in physics), but that isn't the main thing here.

I didn't need to do a lot of higher math to notice that Krivit bashing the ENEA researcher over supposedly changing his claim for helium measurement from 10 x 10^n to 1 x 10^(n+1), excoriating him for not issuing a retraction in the years since, was beyond the pale.

I don't need to hire a private investigator to figure out that EPRI's claim that they don't have any corrections to the early work of McKubre did not "contradict" McKubre's claim to have notified EPRI of a correction, to the mass balance data from 85 MeV to 110 MeV, which, in fact, had no bearing on the significance of the research. As to what Krivit would accuse McKubre of doing, supposedly promoting 24 MeV, I didn't need advanced understanding of quantum mechanics to notice that McKubre's correction was further away from the theory's prediction, not closer.

I just need to read carefully and think about what I read and try to understand it. And when I don't understand, there is a whole community here I can ask. They'll tell me! And I can check that out, too.
