I remember that incident. I also recall that you got a few obnoxious
emails. My sympathies! FWIW, I added my own two cents, something to
the effect that those minions who did Newman's eMail bidding got to
wear white lab coats and look important.

I have a personal comment.

I could be wrong but my personal assessment of Newman is that he has
deliberately fooled himself. He has to. Waking up at this late
juncture in his life would be unacceptable.

I'm reminded of a fragment from a poem from a famous poet:

He who knows not,
and knows not that he knows not,
He is a fool.
Shun him.

Was that from Carl Sanburg?
