Stringham, R. S What is EMF cavitation? Hmm ... sounds a bit like a favorite subject from years gone by (that also did not pan out) - to wit: exploding wire fusion. Although this is probably one or two steps below the explosion and those famous "sausages," perhaps. With exploding wires, you get "sausage instabilities" which are visually well named and although not real cavitation, there could be something similar going on with one dimension being elongated. I guess another remote possibility would be to read the paper ;-) Jones
