As John Fields says, this is a harebrained scheme.
My guess is that if the power is high enough to useful work, they
will eventually discover it can harm your health.
I suppose there are some narrow applications that would benefit from
this technology. Something where you need large numbers of small
machines or sensors. Hard to say where. Maybe for toys such as model
racing cars on tracks without the groove for the power connection, or
small electric airplanes (which are a lot of fun). Maybe for
microscopic nanomachines.
