Within minutes of the broadcast we began getting thousands of visitors from over 70 countries.
There was a burst of traffic at LENR-CANR.org as well. It continuted until around Tuesday April 27 and then traffic returned to normal. Maybe a little above the former baseline.
There was a bigger burst of traffic in March on the 20th anniversary. Perhaps this is because there were several 20th anniversary articles in technical publications and magazines with links to LENR-CANR.org.
I did not expect this would produce an immediate, huge effect on public opinion, and I do not think it has. But the fact that Duncan was invited to give a positive lecture to 2000 people shows that things have changed. That would have been inconceivable a year ago.
Hard core opponents such as Park and the prof. who called Duncan on the phone are digging in, and issuing stronger and stronger hysterical attacks. That is also a sign of progress. To paraphrase FDR at Madison Square Garden, ("I welcome their hatred"):
We have had to struggle with the old enemies of rationality, progress and the scientific method.
Never before in all our history have these forces been so united against one breakthrough as they stand today. They are unanimous in their hate for us -- and we should welcome their hatred.
