The 'stilted' and trumped-up attack is almost
antiquated in its result - reminiscent of the Pope
going after Galileo, eh? ...

... but given enough time, science (and truth) will
prevail in the end. RT may suffer heavily in the
meantime, and be out of work and resources for
experimentation (which is the ultimate 'aim' of this)
but the University will probably end-up paying many
millions to his heirs one day.

This is not to say that sonofusion itself is proved by
him, nor that RT's methods were not questionable - but
it is to say that sonoluminescence certainly IS
proved, to the degree that you see it in high school
science fairs.

Without question one can convert mechanical vibration
into surprising amounts of light, including UV and
even EUV. That is a real anomaly that science has
never been explained adequately.

Heck - if you are operating on the fringes of science,
anyway - do not hold back now, Rusi! Look to see "why"
sonoluminescence produces EUV first; and then build on
that.

To backtrack a bit, from the "Inquisition" to the
fringe science involved in sonoluminescence - and to
how (yes, the actual techniques to use) so that
sonoluminescence ends up possibly supporting eventual
fusion, consider the fact that many, if not most,
experimenters in the field have the commonly accepted
view that...

"...stable Single-Bubble Sonoluminescence (SBSL) can
only be achieved in water in the presence of a noble
gas or hydrogen" especially argon.

... and that helium, hydrogen, and argon are
implicated by R. Mills in hydrino formation as
catalysts.

First, it should be noted, as reported elsewhere
recently, that SBSL can be sustained with only
diatomic gases like e.g. nitrogen being present.
However, compared to that of a stable argon bubble,
the emission is MUCH weaker and the spectrum looks
much colder (no EUV and little UV).

So how does all of this information possibly support
Rusi Taleyarkhan, and how can he make lemonade from
Indiana lemons ?

Basically in this way. RT does not mention and
presumably does not know of the hydrino or Mills, so
he has never bothered to put two-and-two together (two
"pathologies" that is) and to proceed from there. But
if he had, he would probably try to operate his device
for a MUCH longer time period (to accumulate a large
population of deuterinos) before taking fusion data -
and to add another ionic catalyst to the solution for
increased shrinkage, once the population is
sufficient.

The population necessary to set the stage for robust
"on demand" fusion might actually take months to
accumulate (if Mills is right on their lifetime). The
fact that sometimes it happens in hours is only
indicative of the vagaries of quantum mechanics (or an
initial population of natural, i.e. solar-derived
particles).

Maybe BLP should step-in now and help the guy out?

Ha! There are several good reasons for Mills to
suspect that sonoluminescence is a hydrino effect, and
further more that this would be an opportunity for BLP
to prove that ...

... all the while realizing the rationale (for why BLP
will not even remotely consider it)so it makes
mentioning it an exercise in futility.
