Newman gives me the impression that he sincerely believes he has created a "free" energy device. OTOH, I wonder if some of Newman's support staff share his sincerity. I suspect many are in it for the ride - the rush. (If I put on this white lab coat does that make me an important scientist type person?)
What has always bothered me from the get-go is that we are never given any firm data on how much torque Newman's device is generating. Newman would do himself a huge favor and read up on the fantastic new Ion drive spacecraft that NASA has recently tested with great success. I gather these new Xenon Ion drives are super efficient considering the amount of on-board fuel is used. Amazingly, they generate the equivalent thrust of the weight of a single sheet of office paper. VERY LOW ACCELERATION! However, if you apply that tiny acceleration over several weeks and months you can increase the velocity of space craft to incredible speeds impossible to achieve with traditional chemical processes. Sending unmanned spacecraft out to the outer planets has become more feasible due to Ion drive technology. It seems to me that Newmans's spinning flywheel is essentially exploiting the same principle. Maybe Neoman's device IS super-efficient, just like NASA's new Ion drive spacecraft. But does that prove Newman's device is OU. Hardly. When one has convinced themselves that god has whispered sacred secrets of the universe in their ear their sense of outrage against everyone else who does not share in their conviction will become increasingly more blatant.
