I started reading it. Despite the earlier version, this is very well written and documented - and worth anyone's 4 bucks. I like the large font for easier reading so Kindle is the way to go.
As Nick sez there is important older historical stuff that may have been vaguely known to specialists, but not appreciated. Actually the more I read it the more I like it.
