They had to drop it. What do you expect them to do? The guy who was doing it had to get a job and support his family. You have no business complaining about this. Are you going to pay his salary and lab expenses? Do you expect him to work for free while his family starves? There is practically no cold fusion research in the world because it costs money, and there is no money. People seem to think that middle-class researchers can buy equipment costing hundreds of thousands of dollars in labs that cost ten thousand a month to run . . . how? By waving a magic wand?
