This is a decent piece, probably the most accurate short article written about
the field in general. Perhaps they could have paid more attention to the work
at IMRA in France and at least mentioned Brillouin (but since Godes has no real
data in the public view, maybe not).
The article can be read to indicate that Mills is the last remaining hope.
However, the SunCell is hopelessly compromised by a brain-dead decision to try
to capture both light and heat, instead of heat alone. That decision alone is
absurd and casts the integrity of the entire project into the realm of
absurdity. A steam cycle alone is going to be more efficient than photocells,
and trying to do both at the same time smacks of including a back-door delay...
such as Rossi, in trying to needlessly complicate the proof of 100 watts by
going to a megawatt.
The conclusion of the article is accurate: All the discussions about cold
fusion and LENR end this way: They always come back to the fact that no one has
a commercial device on the market yet, and none of the prototypes seem workable
on a commercial scale in the near future (Mills notwithstanding). "Time will be
the ultimate arbiter."
