Could this amazingly violent explosion have been triggered by a novel form of LENR which can happen at ultra-cold temperatures? You have to see the short video clip to appreciate the violence of what is a non-chemical explosion.

Solid oxygen apparently can interact violently with carbon composite, according to Musk, but without any citation for that doubtful claim. SpaceX isn't giving too many further details about the failure... other than the instigation of a violent explosion is cryogenic, involving solid oxygen with no real fuel as hydrogen tank is not involved at the outset. I say Bollocks to that. In short - the geniuses at Space X seem to have no clue, since solid oxygen should not react violently with carbon composite under these conditions. Here is a an alternative possibility, from the fringes, which they certainly did not consider. Carbon composite is made up of carbon filaments impregnated with epoxy resin. Epoxy resin contains hydrogen and phenol type carbon rings, a portion of which are structurally similar to the carbon ring of phenanthrene. (think: Mizuno effect of phenanthrene, citation at end). This hexagonal gaped structure is known to become superconductive when in the form of what is known as "Silver-Bond 5 electrical adhesive - which is designed for use in diversified applications which require grounding (like rocket fuel tanks). Silver, a Mills catalyst, is involved as is the phenanthrene "bay" structure of the epoxy. Silver is Mills preferred catalyst these days but Mizuno used Pd. Filing the oxygen tank, prior to the explosion, produces high voltage friction (triboelectric effect) from solid particles of oxygen in contact with the plumbing, which voltage should be eliminated when properly grounded. My contention is that the rocket could not have been properly grounded. If the ground connection is lost, this very high voltage can accumulate and build in the superconductive "Silver Bond 5" or equivalent epoxy. At some high level of voltage, protons which are found adjacent to the phenanthrene "bay" structures, will becomes activated - which reaction is catalyzed by silver contacts, and will undergo a Mills-effect redundancy reaction and then a Mizuno-effect reaction converting 12C to 13C - and with catastrophic effects on the structural integrity of the fuel tanks.
