Rare but possible, I've seen more not-so-well configured packages in RH7.2.
If the imakefile with the vnc source worked with previous (XFree86-3)
distro's, it should work with newer distro-s that have moved to XFree86-4.
If not, the configuration of the distro has changed. Since XFree86-4 and vnc
are both on the RH7.2 disto, GPL says the distro must contain the source to
build the binaries. Hence, if you fetched the source from the distro, you
must be able to do a build.

On the other hand, this specific message (*.man, *._man) point to
documentation that is not required for building the binaries. Do any of
those files exist in your source?
