Joe, glad to hear you are up and running. My comments are interspersed. At 4/26/2002 Friday 11:10 AM, you wrote:

VNC needs to loop back to use SSH--at both ends. >It would be helpful if all the default "Advanced >Options" DWORD values were added to >"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORL\WINVNC3" registry >key when you run "Install Default Registry Settings" >under the "Administrator Tools" menu. >Running this command only installs the VNCHOOKS in the >"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ORL\VNCHooks\Application_ >Prefs" of the registry. Running "Install Default Registry Settings" simply opens "C:\Program Files\VNC\VNCHooks_Settings.reg" (or equivalent). What about adding to the distribution (and installation) an additional "Install LoopBack Registry Settings" that would open "C:\Program Files\VNC\VNCLoopBack_Settings.reg" containing REGEDIT4 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORL\WinVNC3] "AllowLoopback"=dword:00000001 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORL\WinVNC3\Default] "AllowLoopback"=dword:00000001 (I think this is correct, but--caveat emptor--better double check.) Actually, a small suite of options based on different *.reg files could be added to the distro/install.
