Philip -

You may want to try running vncviewer with a log, like this:

vncviewer -logfile c:\vnclog.txt -loglevel 10

This should give a log of what the viewerr thinks is happening in decent detail.

If that is insufficient, a server-side log can be set up by adding this in the
registry:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORL\WinVNC3]
"DebugMode"=dword:00000002
"DebugLevel"=dword:00000010

The log file thus generated should normally show up in the VNC folder, but in
any case will be named simply "WinVNC.log". If you are getting forcibly
disconnected by the server, it will state what the reason for the disconnection
is.
