Philip - You may want to try running vncviewer with a log, like this:
vncviewer -logfile c:\vnclog.txt -loglevel 10 This should give a log of what the viewerr thinks is happening in decent detail. If that is insufficient, a server-side log can be set up by adding this in the registry: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORL\WinVNC3] "DebugMode"=dword:00000002 "DebugLevel"=dword:00000010 The log file thus generated should normally show up in the VNC folder, but in any case will be named simply "WinVNC.log".
