I think it might be possible for some system dialogs for high-priority tasks to wait for the dialog to be answered before allowing the VNC server (or the patches) to continue. I seem to remember something like this, but I'm not sure. It should be rare, so it would indeed be interesting to hear about the context. >The only real problem I have found with ChromiVNC (apart from that it seems >to crash my Duo2300 quite frequently when used with Think Pascal, and also >sometimes when used with an old version of Eudora), is the Finder double- >click problem - it's usually better to triple-click a Finder icon. >(Search the list archives if you want more gory details on this...) I've used ChromiVNC for some years and it is invaluable to me. The biggest problem I have found is that it does not honour the RFB FramebufferUpdateRequest the way the AT&T version does. As a result, a slow server host can get bogged down sending updates of unneeded parts of the display. d. -- seeking employment phone +61 2 9705 9096 PGP key available NO JUNK MAIL mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] D A Vincent speaking for self only http://www.zeta.org.au/~dvincent "What am I expected to do?
