Gotcha ! I cleaned both the Application and the System Logs then attempted
to start the OpenSSH service again then saw this in the Application Log
(nothing into the System log)

The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( OpenSSHd ) could not be
found. It contains the following insertion string(s): OpenSSHd : Win32
Process Id = 0x61 : Cygwin Process Id = 0x61 : starting service `OpenSSHd'
failed: execv: 1, Not owner.

Process Id = 0xD3 : Cygwin Process Id = 0xD3 : starting service `' failed:
redirect_fd: open (1, /var/log/OpenSSHd.log): 13, Permission denied.

and more.. just tried this one minute ago: since there was "Permission
denied" and knowing this server has some problems due to badly installed
software I tried to change the service's settings from the Startup button
and voila', running it as domain Adminstrator's instead of SYSTEM's ones it
runs so everything's OK now !!

No, I'm sure there weren't any traces since I did a massive search through
the regedit tools removing all keys related to the Cygwin suite.

Yes maybe it was due to some kind of dependency from the OpenSSH service but
I'm happy to have this last server being able to be administered via VNC :)
THNX very much for your help !!
