You pretty much said it. I have XP Pro, BTW. I've been using VNCViewer in
various flavors for connecting to various VNC hosts (Windows and Linux)
without any problems for a while, and run the WinVNC server occasionally on
XP.

As far as VNC and multiple users goes, it behaves the same way as WinVNC
does on earlier platforms. It does not allow multiple simultaneous users in
separate Windows sessions if that is what you were after, Allan.

: I've been using it on Windows XP Home, but not without an occasional
problem.
: As a server, it works very well, but I have had it reboot spontaneously
when
: using Tight encoding with TightVNC. As a client it seems to be a little
more
: troublesome when connecting to Win9x servers. Again, the error is nasty,
as
: it causes the XP system to immediately reboot. This happens to both of my
XP
: systems. I haven't heard of any good cause or solution for this
: problem....but I'm still working on it! :-)
:
: As far as the multiple-user feature, I may not be able to help much. XP
Home
: may handle users differently than XP Pro, but I think it's along the same
: principle. You will probably only be able to connect to one user at a
time,
: as Windows hasn't fully grasped the idea of simultaneous users. This will
: probably not come to fruition until the "Longhorn" release of Windows.
Maybe
: someone else will pipe in if I misstated anything!
