Hi,
I'm trying to connect to a vncserver via ssh. To do that
i start ssh -L ... on pc9
pc9:/tftpboot/P2001 # ssh -L 5902:p2001:5901 p2001
root@p2001's password: "mypassword"
I get a prompt on p2001
bash-2.05#
Now I start vncviewer
rp@pc9:~ > vncviewer localhost:2
vncviewer: VNC server closed connection
Now I get :
bash-2.05# channel 3: open failed: administratively prohibited: open failed
on the prompt of p2001
and in /var/log/messages on p2001:
Mar 12 11:47:18 192 auth.err sshd[207]: error: connect_to 192.168.18.180 port
5901: Invalid argument
Mar 12 11:47:18 192 auth.err sshd[207]: error: connect_to p2001 port 5901:
failed.
There is no firewall installed nor ipsec, ipchains or so.
ssh and vnc are running well as single tasks.
Can anyone give me a hint what's going wrong! I'm searching now for a few
days without any success.
