The best hidden secret in the vnc documentation is the complete login session that is possible with the configuration as described on http://www.sourcecodecorner.com/articles/vnc/linux.asp. Since vncviewer has verry low system requirements, it provides a complete X11 terminal on about every hardware in the world. Think of it: running CDE or KDE on your palmtop! With PC based X11 terminals, I don't even like to run a complete CDE session on anything lower than a 10 MBit network, with VNC it even runs over ISDN. > > Firstly, I'd like to invite everyone.
