I had VNC (3.3.3r9) running as a service on a NT 4.0 Server w/ SP6A and
Oracle 8i
and I didn't have the issue. I now have 2000 Adv. Server w/ SP2 and Oracle
8i
and I haven't seen the issue either.

Sorry I can't help, but I would suggest an easy remote control product at an
affordable price.

Subject: ReadExact: Socket Error

I have had VNC running on our 2 NTsp6 for some time with good results.
Unfortunatelyu that has come to an end. After Installing Oracle 8i on one of
the NT systems I now get a ReadExact Socket error and an access violation at
least 3-4 time a day. I am running 3.3.3r9 of VNC as an NT Service. Since it
costs me time and money to reboot the server I have had to add a second
remote
control system to be able to go into it and restart VNC

I am not sure if the error has been caused by oracle but that is the only
thing that has been done to the server recently.

I searched the archive and found only questions about this error (Unless I
missed something)

Any and all help would be appreciated.

May be a repeat. Never saw my first one come accross the list, if so my
apologies.
