Hi VNCers,

I have a strange problem with a SSH tunneling setup.

I use a similar setup to connect to my office PC from home, but the
setup behaves somewhat strange.

I want to connect two NT machines, let's call them server and
client. I have setup a ssh2 tunnel via cygwin's openssh. I establish
a tunnel with
ssh -L 5901:server.vocalweb.de:5900 server,
which works as expected.
I use TightVNC 1.2.2. on both sides. The server has allowloopback
and allowloopbackonly checked. When I try to connect to
localhost:1 I can't connect (I can check with VNC or with telnet, no
RFB prompt). so far so bad ... But now the really strange stuff:
when I uncheck allowloopbackonly, the connect to localhost:1
works fine.

Any ideas?

Ciao

Ulrich.
