I dont think you'll need additional software. The 677 should be able to do it. Its just a matter of configuring it to NAT or possibly PAT from the outside to inside.
NAT is "network address translation". Your 677 allows many machines inside the network to connect to the internet because it translates inside addresses to ports. If your on an inside machine and you open a web browser to 198.133.219.25 (www.cisco.com) then your 677 changes the outbound packets to match it's outside ip address as the source address and a fairly random port, eg 192.168.168.254:9999. Then any inbound packets on port 9999 it changes the destination address from 192.168.168.254 to match whatever the address of your internal machine is that's doing the requesting. Your router is already doing this or your 5 inside machines wouldn't be able to connect to the internet. The hitch is to get it to NAT from the outside to inside. You'll probably need an Internet address different from your major interface address. PAT is Port Address Translation. In theory you could open a connection to, say, 192.168.168.254:3333 and have a static translation that means send any packets bound for this address and port to your internal machine and the port that VNC is running on. Im not terribly familiar with the 677 but Cisco has great support pages. I found this one right off the bat. http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/794/6400dsl_pppoa_stat_mux.html A firewall would go a long way toward acheiving what your looking for and provide the same functionality as the 677. Check linksys or netgear. They all make pppoe routers with built in firewalls that are pretty easy to configure.
