I use a VPN client to access the corporate LAN from home. The VPN is a
Watchguard Firebox (not sure which version).

On the internal corporate LAN, I have VNC 3.3.3r9 installed on a WinNT
Workstation and on a Windows 2000 Pro box.

Internally, I can access both machines via the vncviewer, no problem.
When I VPN in, I can access the WinNT Workstation w/o any problems.
When I try to connect to the Win2K box, it prompts me for the password
and after it authenticates me, it starts to bring the remote desktop up:
the grey screen that says "Please Wait: initial screen loading...".
However this is as far as it gets. The grey screen remains and does not
finish loading the desktop. After a 1 or 2 minutes, it times out and
disconnects.

It works internally, it works via VPN on the WinNT box, so it appears to
be a combination issue with the Watchguard and Windows 2000.

At home, I am going thru a Sonicwall router, which I've heard has some
VPN issues with its latest firmware, but I get the same results if I
dial out via my modem, so that's not the problem.

Any suggestions. Is there a log file I can check somewhere that may
shed some light on the situation?

Thanks in advance for any info/help!
