Hi,

During the afternoon, when the internet is busy,
I switch to tight encoding. Not sure if it's just
the bandwidth problem or an encoding problem,
but sometimes the screen just doesn't get
updated with my mouse/keyboard actions
indefinitely until I type in a few more keys
or click a few times. I also not sure if
it's my imagination, but I seem to recall that
this is a feature to avoid trivial screen updates.
Did a quick perusal of the tightVNC website
and mailing list, and an even quicker look at
AT&T's VNC site, but nothing in the options
seem to deal with this. Could somebody
clarify whether this is a real feature, and
where I can find its description (especiallly
how to disable it)? Thanks.

Fred
