When you run "vncviewer -register", on a lsower machine you will see a box pop up momentarily then disappear; on a fast one, you may never see the box. However, after running it with the "-register" switch, you should be able to double-click on a .VNC file and have it automatically open. Try running "vncviewer -register" once again, then go and doubleclick a .VNC file. (2) As for using the config switch, I meant from a command line. If you aren't comfortable with it, this could be painful to try. In other words, something like this: vncviewer -config myfile.vnc When you type the command line, make sure you are either in the directory with vncviewr and the .vnc file or give the full path to both; if there are spaces in the path names, you need to surround them with quotes. For example, if you left VNCViewer in the standard ORL folder and saved the .VNC file to "My Documents" on the root of the C drive with the name "somepc.vnc", it would be something like this. "C:\Program Files\ORL\VNC\vncviewer" -config "C:\My Documents\somepc.vnc". If (1) does not work, please post whatever error it gives you and what version of Windows you are using; something may have gotten bollixed up in what VNCViewer calls to do registration. : : Hehe, you gave me three ways of doing things, and I couldn't get one.
