I got a wierd problem with VNC. It used to work nicely but once I connected
to the other computer and I logged in and nothing happened. After that VNC
server hasn't worked. When I try to connect everything goes as expected and
it asks password but after that comes a connection closed window or for a
second I see the screen of the other computer but it disapears before
anything is done without any error message. The computer that runs VNC
server runs with Win NT 4 and my computer has Win 2000. Both computers have
Zone Alarm's firewall. I didn't do any changes to either of computers before
getting to this weird situation. At that time also VNC stopped working as
service. The logo dissapeared from taskbar and I couldn't run it in
application mode because it sayed that another version was still running. I
reinstalled VNC for a couple of times and upgraded it to newest version but
it didn't help. After removing VNC service I was able to run VNC in
application mode where I now can get to this "Enter your password" state.
Can someone help me?
