It works. But my experience is that when "ssh -R" is used with sshd on linux (at least OpenSSH), then sshd listens only on 127.0.0.1:portnumber. Send us the output of "netstat -rn | grep 5900" when you are connected to the mysshd machine. Also, can you check the firewall (port filtering) rules on your sshd server?
