Subject: Re: Problem using WinVNC

Thank you, Rick, for your quick response to my problem.

I changed both Celeron computers screen settings to 640x480 pixels, 256
colors, rebooted both to be sure they were seeing the changes, ran VNC App
on
one and VNC Viewer on the other. The results were the same as before, the
screen of the machine I am running the Viewer on says "Please wait-Initial
Screen is loading."

>> I don't know on that one.

Here is one more hint. When I move the mouse on the server, the tiny square
moves around on the screen, and the activity lights for the two computers on
the network hub blink back and forth, rapidly. I suppose this indicates
some
sort of communication between the two computers?

>> That is the update, select 'Poll Full Screen' in properties

Apparently, WIN98SE has done something differently about networking? I
would
hate to try to remove it and replace it with the older WIN98 just to see if
I
could obtain better results with VNC.

>> It does, though should not offer an interoperability issue

Finally, I hope that I am sending this msg to the correct address so that
all
using the list could join in. I need all the help I can get!

Thanks,

Bruce, W5HCS
