he solution to this error eludes me. System Pentium II 400Mhz Ram = 256MB OS = Windows 2000 Professional VNC 3.3.3R9 (I believe, I'm at work and can't check it). Firewall = Zone Alarm 1.0 I've read all the posts I could find, not many, and I didn't see a solution anywhere. IF this problem has been discussed before, with a fix, I welcome any guidance on finding the correct post. My first experience with VNC was on the same machine running Windows 98SE. In the beginning, when this error appeared, I would just restart the system and all would be well. After a period of time, this wouldn't work anymore. My next step was to remove the program and reinstall it. This would work for a while, but eventually uninstalling would fail. Then I would uninstall and manually remove everything concerning VNC from the registry. This works for a period of time until it would fails to a point I would have to format and reinstall Win 98SE. After doing this two times, I gave up and started using Windows 2000 Pro. For most of a year everything worked great. The last 2 days I'm beginning to experience the first problem again, to the point restarting then computer fails. As I mentioned, I'm at work and will experiment with it when I get home. Maybe something with Zone Alarm is causing the problem, but all I did last night was shut down my computer until I turned it on at 4:15AM this morning. I didn't check the VNC connection until I got to work. So far I've called and asked my daughter to restart twice and shut down and then restart once No change, the error still occurs. I'm no expert and have no networking knowledge. So far this program has allowed me to access my computer remotely, and that's all I ask of it. Hopefully this is enough information for someone to give me some guidance on repairing this problem. If accessing my system will help please send me email adn I'll add you.
