If the client PC isn't logged on, you will never connect. If you can ping it, you can connect to it. The only time I have seen "connection closed" is an NT4.0 server trying to connect to a Win2000 workststion. The Win2k was locked. Only way to connect to a locked Win2k system is through your web browser then use the SEND CTL+ALT+DEL option. Good luck
