Assuming you're running Windows, check the AT&T docs for the AuthHosts registry key: setting it to: "-:?" will cause an Accept/Reject prompt to pop up on the screen of the server when someone tries to connect to it using vncviewer. Otherwise the only way to tell is that the VNC system tray icon turns colour...
