Kim- It's an issue with available port numbers. VNC uses 5900 for display 0, 5901 for display 1...5999 for display 99. See Q52 in the FAQ: http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/faq.html#q52 The problem happens because the client interprets any display number greater than 99 as an explicit port to use.
